OnQ Home Wiring

OnQ Tech Structured Wiring

The OnQ home wiring system is designed to distribute conventional telephone and television services. But it can also support all the new and future services you've heard about, like digital satellite, home theater, high speed Internet, a computer LAN, and even a PBX telephone system, which old-style TV and phone wiring installations cannot do.
The OnQ system consists of a service center, high performance coaxial and twisted pair cables, and a family of outlets to deliver the services to all the desired locations. It's a modular system, so it can be configured for just the functions and features you want. And with the necessary OnQ cables installed behind the walls of your new home, you can add other functions later, without going through a messy and expensive retrofit.

The basic OnQ home wiring systems is a low-cost addition to your new home that will provide benefits each day you live in it. And when you're ready to sell, the OnQ system should be an attractive feature to prospective buyers.

These systems provide a comprehensive set of security features as well as lighting, HVAC and low voltage device control. Two systems are available - the HMS 925 provides basic security and home management features, and the HMS 1050 provides an enhanced set of home management features.

By adding a thermostats to the system, the temperature can be adjusted based on day and time as well as the security status (and occupancy status) of the house. It is also possible, via a telephone call to the house, to remotely hear the current temperature and change the setting if desired. The Indoor/Outdoor Temperature Sensor can be configured to provide an alarm which calls the monitoring station in the event the temperature drops too low.
